IRVING, Texas – The American Athletic Conference has announced the winners of its weekly men’s and women’s tennis honors for the week-ending April 17.
 
AMERICAN ATHLETIC CONFERENCE MEN’S TENNIS PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Yassine Dlimi • Fr. • UCF • Casablanca, Morocco
Dlimi went 2-0 in both singles and doubles to lead UCF to a pair of 4-2 wins last week, extending the Knights’ winning streak to four matches. He took both singles matches in straight sets at the No. 3 position with a 7-6 (3), 6-2 win against UAB and a 6-2, 6-3 decision against No. 56 Tulsa. Dlimi improved his singles record to 10-4 in dual matches in his freshman season and has won his last six completed matches.
 
AMERICAN ATHLETIC CONFERENCE WOMEN’S TENNIS PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Hadley Doyle • Sr. • SMU • Colleyville, Texas
Doyle led SMU to a pair of wins against nationally ranked teams to help the Mustangs earn the top seed for the American Athletic Conference Championship. Playing in the No. 1 singles position, Doyle scored a 6-2, 6-0 win to lead SMU to a 4-0 win against No. 25 San Diego. She followed with a 6-4, 4-6, 6-3 win at No. 1 against The American’s highest-ranked singles player in a 4-2 victory against No. 39 UCF. Doyle takes a 9-3 dual-match record into the postseason.
