CINCINNATI – University of Cincinnati redshirt junior Cole Harting drove in the winning run in the bottom of the ninth with a two-run single, lifting the Bearcats to a 9-8 victory over Wichita State on Sunday inside UC Baseball Stadium.
Down by one with the bases loaded, Harting laced a single to left field to drive in the 99th and 100th runs of his career.
The Bearcats (12-17, 1-2 American) overcame a seven-run deficit and scored eight unanswered runs over the final four innings to pull off the comeback victory. Kameron Guidry, Cam Scheler and Sean Springer each belted a home run in the win while Harting finished 3-for-5 with three RBI.
Freshman Landyn Vidourek went 3-for-4 with a triple and three runs scored in the lead-off spot.
Sophomore pitcher Tommy O'Connor made his first career start on the mound for the Bearcats. Senior Mitch White (1-0) came out of the bullpen in the eighth and pitched 1.2 scoreless innings to earn his first win of the season.
Caden Favors (2-3) took the loss for the Shockers (16-11, 2-1).
UCF 12, South Florida 9 -

ORLANDO -- UCF won a back-and-forth matchup with in-state rival South Florida, 12-9, Sunday afternoon.
Eight different Knights (17-11, 1-2 American) earned hits, while nine different Bulls (12-17, 2-1) recorded base hits.
The Bulls scored three in the top of the first inning before the Knights came back in the third on a 3-run home run by Ben McCabe. South Florida retook the lead in the fifth with three more runs, but UCF scored five in the fifth to take the lead for good.
Najer Victor (2-1) earned the win for UCF, while Kyle Kramer picked up his seventh save. Austin Grause took the loss for South Florida.
Houston 6, East Carolina 4 -

HOUSTON – University of Houston Baseball junior Alex Lopez placed a go-ahead two-out, three-run home run just fair down the left field line as the Cougars overcame a one-run deficit to defeat No. 8 East Carolina, 6-4, while taking 2 of 3 on American Athletic Conference Opening Weekend from Sanders Field at Schroeder Park on Sunday.
The Pirates (20-8, 1-2 American) were one strike away from escaping the jam in the seventh before Lopez's second home run of the season proved to be the winner. Junior Justin Murray locked up his third save behind 2.0 scoreless frames.
With the victory, Houston (13-14, 1-1 American) captured its first three-game series win against a Top 10 team since sweeping No. 7 ECU in Greenville, N.C., from April 27-29, 2018.
Lopez's three-run home run was his eighth career homer in two seasons with the Cougars.

NEW ORLEANS -- Teo Banks in a walk-off 2-run home run in the bottom of the 11th to earn a series win for Tulane over Memphis, 6-5.
After being deadlocked at 4-4 after 10 innings, Memphis (16-13, 1-2 American) took the lead on an RBI single by Jake Curtis that scored Shane Cox.
In the bottom of the frame, the Green Wave (8-20, 2-1) were down to their final out before James Agabedis was hit by a pitch. Up stepped Banks, who launched the game winning long ball to left-center field.
Brian Valigosky (2-0) earned the win for Tulane, while Dalton Kendrick (1-2) took the loss for the Tigers.
