IRVING, Texas – The American Athletic Conference has announced the weekly women’s soccer honors for the ninth week of the season.
 
Offensive Player of the Week
Ady Bechtel, Fr., M, Tulsa
Bechtel aided the Golden Hurricane to a pair of wins. She provided two assists in a 2-1 win at UTSA on Thursday, October 10 and added a goal in a 3-1 win over Florida Atlantic on Sunday, October 13.
 
Defensive Player of the Week
Catarina Albuquerque, Sr., D, Rice
Albuquerque helped lead the Owls to a 2-1 win over North Texas by anchoring the defense as well as scoring the game-winning goal in the 77^th minute.
 
Goalkeeper of the Week
Emma Wakeman, Gr., Charlotte
Wakeman recorded two clean sheets in a pair of scoreless draws for the 49ers. She saved four shots at UAB on Thursday and recorded four more saves against UTSA on Sunday.
 
Freshman of the Week
Ai Kitagawa, M, Memphis
Kitagawa scored a goal and added an assist in a 4-0 win at Temple on Thursday before providing an assist on Memphis’ goal in a 1-1 draw with East Carolina on Sunday.
 
Honorable Mention
Caitlen-Star Dolan Boodram, Fr., F, East Carolina
Dolan Boodram scored the game-tying goal in the 75^th minute of a 1-1 draw at No. 16 Memphis on Sunday.
 
Leah Chancey, Gr., M, Rice
Chancey provided assists on both Owl goals in a 2-1 win against North Texas on Sunday.
 
Leire Hallaez Gallach, Jr., GK, South Florida
Hallaez Gallach recorded seven saves in a 3-0 shutout of East Carolina on Thursday.
 
Anna Sutter, Sr., F, South Florida
Sutter scored a goal in the 3-0 win over East Carolina on Thursday.
 
Tatum Sanders, Jr., GK, Tulsa
