IRVING, Texas – The American Athletic Conference has announced the weekly women’s soccer honors for the 11th week of the season.
 
Offensive Player of the Week
Macey Bader, Sr., F, Charlotte
Bader scored Charlotte’s two goals last week. She scored the game-tying goal in the 77
th minute of a 1-1 draw with North Texas on Thursday, October 24 before scoring the lone goal in the 79
th minute of a 1-0 victory at Rice on Sunday, October 27.
 
Defensive Player of the Week
Juliana Viera, Jr., D, East Carolina
Viera aided the Pirate defense to a clean sheet and only one shot on goal allowed in a 2-0 win over Florida Atlantic on Sunday. The junior also added an assist on the second Pirate goal.
 
Goalkeeper of the Week
Leire Herraez Gallach, Jr., South Florida
Herraez Gallach recorded two clean sheets for the Bulls last week. She recorded five saves in a 1-0 win over UTSA on Thursday before making four stops in a scoreless draw at Tulsa on Sunday that clinched the No. 2 seed for the 2024 American Women’s Soccer Championship.
 
Freshman of the Week
Hicks Bishop, GK, North Texas
Bishop recorded five saves in a 1-1 draw at Charlotte before making five more saves in a scoreless draw with No. 17 Memphis.
 
Honorable Mention
Anika Toth, Gr., GK, UAB
Toth made 14 saves in a 1-0 shutout of Tulsa before making three saves in a 2-1 win over Temple.
 
Samantha Moxie, Sr., F, East Carolina
Moxie scored the game-winning goal in the 15
th minute of a 2-0 Pirate win over Florida Atlantic on Sunday.
 
Kaylie Bierman, Sr., GK, Memphis
Bierman made four saves in two matches, including a penalty kick save in the 37
th minute of a scoreless draw at North Texas on Sunday.
 
Anne-Valerie Seto, Sr., M, Memphis
Seto scored a goal and added an assist in the Tigers’ 4-1 win over Rice on Thursday.
 
Sadie Sider-Echenberg, Jr., M, South Florida
Sider-Echenberg scored the lone goal in the 31
st minute of a 1-0 win over UTSA on Thursday.
