IRVING, Texas – Two American Athletic Conference men’s soccer players were named to the 2024 Academic All-American teams as selected by the College Sports Communicators (CSC), the organization announced Tuesday.
Florida Atlantic’s senior forward Noah Kvifte was named to the second team, while Charlotte’s senior defender Ian Pilcher earned third team honors.
Kvifte, a first team All-American Athletic Conference selection, started 15 games for the Owls, tying for the team-lead in goals scored (8) His eight goals scored were also tied for the most in the conference. Kvifte holds a cumulative GPA of 3.94 while majoring in business analytics.
Pilcher was a first team All-American Athletic Conference selection, helping lead the 49ers to a second straight American Men’s Soccer Championship. The defender started all 17 games for Charlotte, helping lead the 49ers to a league best .84 goals allowed per game and a nation leading 11 shutouts. He holds a cumulative GPA of 3.82 while majoring in exercise science.
The 11 members of the Division I first team had a 3.91 average DPA. A total of nine members had 4.00 GPA’s, with six on the first team.
