On Thursday, the UTSA women's basketball team cruised past UT Arlington, 76-61, to wrap up nonconference play undefeated in the Convocation Center for the first time since the 1992-93 season.
The Roadrunners (8-2, 0-0 The American) bested the Lady Mavericks (4-6, 0-0 WAC) and, in doing so, won eight of their first 10 for the first time since the 1997-98 campaign.
Junior Sidney Love paced the contest and tied her season-high in points with 21. Graduate student Nina De Leon Negron facilitated the offense to the tune of seven points, eight assists and six rebounds, while redshirt senior Jordyn Jenkins tallied 14 points with five boards, two blocks and a steal. Sophomore Idara Udo also got in on the action, scoring 10.
