SHREVEPORT, La. - Bryson Daily rushed for 127 yards and three touchdowns, setting the NCAA FBS single-season record for rushing TDs by a quarterback, leading Army to a 27-6 win against Louisiana Tech in the Radiance Technologies Independence Bowl Saturday.

The Black Knights finished their first season in the American Athletic Conference at 12-2, setting a program record for wins and adding a bowl trophy to their conference championship hardware.

They capped the year with the formula that carried them to double-digit wins. Army rushed for 321 yards, had possession for more than 40 minutes, converted 4 of 5 fourth down attempts and limited the Bulldogs to 49 rushing yards.

Daily meanwhile passed Navy's Keenan Reynolds (31) on the FBS single-season touchdowns list for quarterbacks. His 32 touchdowns trail only Barry Sanders (37) and Montee Ball (33) on the NCAA single-season chart.

Daily put the Black Knights on the board on their first possession as he scored from 15 yards out midway through the first quarter, and Hayden Reed gave Army a 14-0 cushion with a 12-yard TD with 1:28 left in the period.

Army effectively put the game away by controlling the ball for most of the second quarter as Daily's second touchdown capped a 21-play scoring drive that consumed 12:21 and gave the Black Knights a 21-3 lead.

Reed finished with a career-high 114 rushing yards with a touchdown on 20 carries to give Army a pair of 100-yard rushers.
