American Athletic Conference action began on Sunday with six games on the schedule. The road teams dominated, winning five of the six games with Tulsa being the only home team to win with a 93-84 win over East Carolina, led by Delanie Crawfords 36 points.  South Florida defeated Rice (74-64), UTSA defeated Charlotte (64-50), Tulane defeated Florida Atlantic (91-71), North Texas defeated Wichita State (62-56) and Temple defeated UAB (97-74).
