North Texas won its sixth straight game, defeating Wichita State, 58-54, on the road to improve to 7-1 in American Athletic Conference men's basketball play on Wednesday, January 29.

In other games, Florida Atlantic's KyKy Tandy hit eight 3-pointers as the Owls defeated UTSA, 94-74. Jamal Mashburn Jr hit a free throw with two seconds left in double overtime to lift Temple over Charlotte, 90-89. UAB took down Tulsa on the road, 78-68, behind Yaxel Lendeborg's big game of 28 points, 13 rebounds, six assists and four blocks.
