Memphis' Gannon Named Men's Tennis Player Of The Week

IRVING, Texas – The American Athletic Conference has announced the winners of its weekly tennis honors for the week-ending February 24.

Conor Gannon • Sr. • Memphis
Gannon was a combined 3-1 in singles and doubles as Memphis scored dual match wins against Northwestern (4-3) and Indiana (4-2). He won in both singles and doubles against the Wildcats, including a 6-4, 3-6, 7-6 (1) decision at No. 1 singles, while he added a 6-2, 7-6 (5) victory at No. 1 against the Hoosiers. Gannon, who is No. 88 in the most recent ITA rankings, has a 9-5 singles record for the Tigers, who have won their last five matches.
