IRVING, Texas – The American Athletic Conference has announced the winners of its weekly tennis honors for the week-ending March 3.

Nakano went 2-0 in singles, with a pair of straight-set victories, and was 1-0 in doubles to lead Charlotte to 4-0 sweeps of Liberty and No. 64 Tulane last week. She cruised to a 6-0, 6-1 win at No. 6 singles against the Flames and delivered a 6-0 victory at No. 3 doubles and a 6-4, 6-2 decision at No. 5 singles against the Green Wave. Nakano has helped the 49ers to an 11-2 start to the season, the program’s best start since 2022.
