Charlotte's Bryce, South Florida's Longoria Earn Weekly Honors

IRVING, Texas – The American Athletic Conference has announced the winners of the league’s weekly baseball honors for the 13th week of the regular season.
 
PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Dawson Bryce, So., INF, Charlotte
Bryce helped lead the 49ers to a 4-0 week, hitting .368 (7-19) with three runs scored and six runs driven in. The sophomore recorded six extra-base hits, including three doubles and three home runs. He drove in a run and recorded a hit in each of the four games.
 
PITCHER OF THE WEEK
Adan Longoria, So., South Florida
Longoria earned a win and a save in two appearances last week for the Bulls. The sophomore pitched 4.2 perfect innings with five strikeouts, including a 3.1-inning save against Florida on Tuesday. He earned the win with a 1.1 inning performance against Florida Atlantic on Saturday.
 
HONORABLE MENTION
Chase Carson, Sr., P, Charlotte
Carson made four appearances last week, going 1-0 with a save. In 8.1 total innings, the senior allowed three runs on five hits with nine strikeouts in four 49er wins.
 
Michael Lombardi, Jr., P, Tulane
Lombardi earned saves in both of Tulane’s wins over Memphis this weekend. The junior allowed just one hit and struck out five in two innings of work.
 
Jason Wachs, Fr., OF, Tulane
Wachs hit .538 (7-13) with one run and two RBI as the Green Wave earned a series win over Memphis. He recorded three hits in each of the two Tulane victories.
 
Mason Lytle, Sr., OF, UTSA
Lytle helped lead the Roadrunners to a series win over East Carolina by hitting .500 (6-12) with five runs scored, two doubles and five RBI.
 
Zach Royse, Jr., P, UTSA
Royse earned the win over East Carolina on Friday, allowing one run on six hits with eight strikeouts in an 8-5 victory.
