IRVING, Texas – The American Conference has announced the weekly women’s soccer honors for the second week of the 2025 season.
Offensive Player of the Week
Ai Kitagawa, So., M, Memphis
Kitagawa recorded a brace in the No. 24 Tigers’ 7-0 win over Kennesaw State on Thursday, August 25. The sophomore also helped lead Memphis to a top-25 win over No. 11 Vanderbilt, delivering a dangerous corner that led to the only goal of the match in the 55
th minute.
Defensive Player of the Week
Finley Lavin, Jr., D, Memphis
Lavin led the Tiger defensive line that did not allow a goal in two wins last week. Memphis did not allow a shot on goal against Kennesaw State on Thursday, and only six shots on goal against No. 11 Vanderbilt on Sunday night, including one that was saved by the junior off the line.
Goalkeeper of the Week
Jasmine Kessler, Jr., UTSA
Kessler made eight saves in two Roadrunner shutouts last week. The junior recorded two saves in 69 minutes against St. Mary’s (TX) on Thursday, before making six saves against Lamar on Sunday, including a penalty kick save in the last second to preserve a 1-0 victory and clean sheet.
Freshman of the Week
Ellis Kelly, F, Memphis
Kelly aided the Tigers to two victories last week, including two goals and an assist in Memphis’ 7-0 win over Kennesaw State on Thursday.
Honorable Mention
Abby Graeser, Jr., D, UAB
Graeser aided the Blazers to a 5-0 win over ULM by providing three assists.
Caitlen-Star Dolan Boodram, So., F, East Carolina
Dolan Boodram aided the Pirates to a 4-0 win over VCU on Sunday, scoring two goals while providing an assist.
Abby Kudia, So., GK, Memphis
Kudia made five saves against No. 11 Vanderbilt in a 1-0 victory on Sunday after also not allowing a goal in a half of action against Kennesaw State on Thursday.
Rachel Roebuck, Gr., F/D, North Texas
Roebuck scored a goal and an assist in the Mean Green’s 2-1 win over Prairie View A&M on Sunday after providing an assist in North Texas’ defeat to SMU on Thursday.
Zoe May, Sr., D, UTSA
May helped lead the Roadrunner defense to two shutout victories and only allowed eight total shots on goal, while also scoring the game-winning goal off of a penalty against Lamar on Sunday.
