Natasha Thames and Shi-Heria Shipp had career nights as Temple defeated Howard 83-58 Wednesday evening at McGonigle Hall.
Thames scored a game-high 24 points and shot 9-for-10 from the field. Shipp added 22 points and Erica Covile chipped in with 11.
The Owls held a 41-28 advantage in rebounds and shot 50 percent from the field (31-for-62) while holding Howard to 37 percent shooting (22-for-57).
