Carden Leads East Carolina to a 49-32 Win over Tulsa

TULSA, Okla. -- Shane Carden threw for four touchdowns Friday night and ran for another and East Carolina beat Tulsa 49-32.

Cory Hunter scored on a 1-yard run for the Pirates (8-3, 5-2 American Athletic Conference) and Brandon Williams picked off a pass by Tulsa's Dane Evans and returned it 37 yards for a score.

Carden was 28 of 41 for 338 yards and an interception, with TD passes of 15 yards and 12 yards to Bryce Williams, 16 yards to Jimmy Williams and 4 yards to Justin Hardy. He scored on a 2-yard run in the fourth quarter.

D'Angelo Brewer scored on a 5-yard run for Tulsa (7-4, 4-3), Matt Hickman recovered a blocked punt in the end zone for a score, James Flanders scored on a 1-yard run and Carl Salazar kicked a 35-yard field goal.

Evans was 15 of 32 for 200 yards, two interceptions and a 30-yard TD pass to Keyarris Garrett.
