Ondrea Shaw blocked a career-high 10 shots and Jada Payne tied her season high with 24 points as East Carolina defeated Loyola (Md.), 82-33, in its final non-conference road game Tuesday night at Reitz Arena. The Pirates (8-2) blocked 15 shots as a team, tying the school record set back on Jan. 18, 1975 against Elon. Shaw became just the second player in program history to post double-digit blocks and surpassed her previous best of seven swats she last recorded Nov. 15 at Rhode Island.

Freshman twins Alicia and Keely Froling both recorded double-doubles, but the SMU women’s basketball could not overcome No. 4/5 Texas A&M, falling to the Aggies, 70-62, Tuesday night at Moody Coliseum. Alicia Froling scored 13 points and grabbed 15 boards, while her twin sister, Keely, contributed 12 points and 13 rebounds. Both rebound totals were career-highs. Junior forward Destynee Hives-McCray led SMU with 15 points.
