The Tampa Bay Local Organizing Committee (TBLOC) and the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) will unveil the 2015 NCAA® Women’s Final Four® logo on Sunday, Feb., 16 during halftime of the USF-UConn game at the Sun Dome.
The 2015 Women’s Final Four takes place April 5 and 7, 2015 at the Tampa Bay Times Forum, which will mark the second Women’s Final Four hosted by Tampa Bay (2008).
Dignitaries from Tampa Bay as well as the NCAA that will be on hand for the unveiling event will include NCAA Vice President of Women’s Basketball Championships Anucha Browne, NCAA Associate Director for Championships and Alliances Rick Nixon and Tampa Bay Sports Commission Executive Director Rob Higgins.
Prior to USF-UConn, the Tampa Bay Sports Commission, USF and the NCAA will host the 2015 NCAA Women’s Final Four Girls and Boys Kids Clinic 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the Pam and Les Muma Basketball Center (connected to the Sun Dome). Girls in eighth grade or younger and boys in sixth grade and below are invited to participate in the free clinic, which is open to the first 150 registrants.
The clinic will be directed by notable high school coaches from the Tampa Bay area and each participant will receive one free ticket to USF-UConn and also will get to serve as an honorary member of USF’s pregame, on-court tunnel team. Participants will have the unique opportunity to meet the players and collect autographs from the USF women’s basketball team after the game.
