USF won its third straight contest with a victory over Memphis and UConn defeated SMU on the road during American women’s hoops action on Tuesday.
Inga Orekhova and Alisia Jenkins had career nights for USF in the Bulls’ 91-68 win over Memphis. Orekhova scored a career-high 33 points while Jenkins had 21 points and 18 rebounds, both career-highs. The Tigers got a team-high 21 points from Ariel Hearn. Asia Fuqua-Bey recorded a double-double of 12 points and 10 rebounds.
Bria Hartley scored 25 points and Breanna Stewart added 23 in an 81-48 Husky victory over SMU in Dallas. The Mustangs set a new attendance record at Moody Coliseum with 4,091 fans. SMU was paced by Keena Mays and Akil Simpson’s 13 and 11 points, respectively.
