USF defeated George Washington and Rutgers topped Seton Hall in double overtime to advance to the WNIT quarterfinals.
The Bulls had four players in double figure scoring in Thursday's 74-59 win over the Colonials. Courtney Williams posted her 10th double-double of the season with 24 points and 12 rebounds, and Alisia Jenkins added a double-double of 11 points and 12 rebounds. Inga Orekhova scored all of her 14 points in the second half and tied career highs with nine rebounds and seven assists.
USF travels to Starkville, Miss. on Sunday, March 30 for a matchup at Mississippi State at 6 p.m. EST. The winner of that game will face the winner of Rutgers/Bowling Green on either April 2 or 3, location to be determined.
The Scarlet Knights picked up a 91-79 double overtime victory over in-state rival Seton Hall Thursday evening at the RAC.
Three RU players finished the game with at least 20 points, led by a career-high 29 from freshman Tyler Scaife. Kahleah Copper pulled down a double-double, her fifth of the year, with 20 points and 11 rebounds. Betnijah Laney added 27 points, including a 13-for-15 outing at the charity stripe.
Rutgers will travel to Bowling Green for WNIT quarterfinals action on Monday at 7 p.m.
