UConn, USF Win in Sunday Matinees

No. 2/2 UConn 87, SMU 28

Senior Kaleena Mosqueda-Lewis during the Huskies' 87-28 win over SMU Sunday afternoon in Dallas. Mosqueda-Lewis scored eight points in 21 minutes and added one more 3-pointer for a career total of 320 in 118 games. Taurasi made 318 in 144 games at UConn. Breanna Stewart led all scorers with 19 points while SMU got a team-high nine points from Morgan Bolton.

RV/RV USF 70, Temple 58

Courtney Williams had 21 points, 12 rebounds and six assists leading RV/RV USF to a 70-58 win over Temple Sunday afternoon at McGonigle Hall. The Bulls limited the Owls to just 29-percent (20-for-69) shooting while connecting on 51-percent (27-for-53) of their shots. It was the fourth consecutive game USF held its opponents to less than 30-percent shooting from the field. Alliya Butts scored a career and game-high 24 points for Temple.
