Abria Trice scored 15 of her season-high 23 points in the second half as East Carolina outscored Cincinnati, 45-18, in the final 20 minutes en route to a 78-53 win Tuesday night at Fifth Third Arena. Trice shot 9-for-14 overall and a perfect 5-for-5 from the free-throw line in her first 20-point game of the season. The Bearcats had a two-point lead at the break but the Pirates rallied in the second half and shot 61.3-percent in the stanza. Ana Owens led three Cincinnati players in double figures with 15 points.
No. 25/25 USF 72, SMU 51
No. 25/25 USF topped SMU on Tuesday, 72-51, at Moody Coliseum in Dallas. The Bulls improved to 20-4 (11-1) with the win while the Mustangs fell to 5-18 (1-11) with the loss. The 2014-15 USF squad became the fastest team in program history to reach 20 wins. Courtney Williams led four Bulls in double figures with a game-high 21 points and a team-high nine rebounds. SMU was led by Destynee Hives-McCray who posted 11 points and a team-high 13 rebounds, notching her fifth double-double of the season. Raven Short chipped in 11 points, a new season-high.
Tulane 66, UCF 55
Tulane completed a season sweep of UCF on Tuesday with a 66-55 win over the Knights at Devlin Fieldhouse. Kolby Morgan led three Green Wave players in double figures with a 16 points. Jamie Kaplan scored 11 of her season-high tying 14 points in the final five minutes, including eight straight free-throws, tying her career-high with a 9-for-10 night on the line. Fifi Ndour tallied a team-high 11 points for UCF to go along with five rebounds while Zykira Lewis added 10 points.
Tulsa 75, Temple 67
Five Tulsa players scored in double-figures as the Golden Hurricane won its fifth-straight game with a 75-67 victory over Temple Tuesday night at the Reynolds Center. Tulsa was led by Kelsee Grovey and Mariah Turner with 15 points apiece. Alliya Butts' 17 points paced the Owls, while Erica Covile added 15 and Feyonda Fitzgerald chipped in 14. The Hurricane trailed 33-29 at halftime before Ashley Clark's jumper with 16:02 remaining gave Tulsa a two-point advantage.
