Rowser's Career-High 24 Points Leads Memphis Past Houston

Mooriah Rowser tied her career-high with 24 points in Memphis' 64-58 win over Houston Wednesday evening at Hofheinz Pavilion. The win snapped a three-game skid for the Tigers, who improved to 12-12 and 6-7 in league play with the win. The Cougars fell to 6-18 (1-12) with the loss.

Memphis held off Houston, who used a 13-0 run to cut in to the Tigers lead in the first half, thanks to Rowser's 24 points and 17 from Ariel Hearn. Asianna Fuqua-Bey was the third Memphis player in double-digit points. She finished with 10 points and eight rebounds before fouling out. In her absence the Tigers turned to Courtney Powell, and the junior responded with seven points and five rebounds.

Marche’ Amerson led the Cougars with 17 points on 8-for-16 shooting. Tyler Gilbert scored 13 points and pulled in six rebounds, while Jessieka Palmer added 10 points.
