East Carolina 67, SMU 53
Jada Payne became the 22nd player in program history to reach 1,000 career points and scored a game-high 20 in East Carolina's 67-53 win over SMU Wednesday night at Williams Arena in Minges Coliseum. DeVaughn Gray had 12 points for the Pirates and Abria Trice added 10 as East Carolina (18-8, 9-6) won its fifth straight game. Four SMU (5-20, 1-13) players scored in double-figures, led by a career-high 13 from Stephanie Collins. Classmate Alicia Froling narrowly missed out on a double-double and finished with 10 points and nine rebounds.
Memphis 65, UCF 49
Memphis got 27 points from its bench in a 65-49 win over UCF Wednesday night at Elma Roane Fieldhouse. Freshman Cheyenne Creighton led the Tigers with a career-high 12 points while Taylor Williams and Ariel Hearn each added 11 in the win. Freshman Fifi Ndour paced the Knights with a game-high 13 points. She has a streak of three consecutive games of at least 10 points and has led UCF in scoring in two of the last three outings. The Knights were without head coach Joi Williams for the second consecutive game due to a death in the family.
RV/RV USF 79, Tulsa 46
Three players recorded double-doubles for RV/RV USF in a 79-46 win over Tulsa Wednesday night at the Sun Dome. The Bulls used 36 bench points and had five different players score at least 11 in the win. USF freshmen Maria Jespersen and Laura Ferreira collected their first career double-doubles in the victory. Jespersen set career-highs in points (13) and rebounds (11) while Ferreira finished with 11 points and a career-best 11 rebounds. Ashley Clark had a team-high 13 points and eight rebounds for the Hurricane in the loss.
