PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The American Athletic Conference has announced the winners of the league’s weekly baseball honors for the week ending Feb. 22.
AMERICAN ATHLETIC CONFERENCE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Kyle Marsh • Fr. • INF/RHP • UCF
Marsh hit .385 with a .579 on-base percentage in a 4-0 week for the Knights, who are one of just eight teams to stand 7-0 or better through the first two weekends of the season. The Port Orange, Florida, native had a home run and eight runs batted in while scoring three runs and walking six times on the week, which included wins over No. 16/20 Maryland and an Arkansas team ranked in the NCBWA poll. Marsh had multiple RBIs in three of four games on the weekend and a save against Maryland.

Andrew Lantrip • So. • RHP • Houston
Lantrip held Alabama to one run over seven innings in a win over a Crimson Tide team ranked in the NCBWA poll. The Livingston, Texas, native had five strikeouts against one walk in the victory. Lantrip holds a 0.75 earned run average over two starts, picking up wins over Minnesota and Alabama.
