MEDIA DAY CENTRAL
PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The American Athletic Conference will host its annual basketball media day on Monday, Oct. 24, at the Philadelphia Airport Marriott.
The day will serve as the unofficial open to men’s and women’s basketball season, and the American Digital Network will have live coverage beginning at 8 a.m. ET with Commissioner Mike Aresco’s opening remarks. Coaches and student-athletes from all 22 men’s and women’s teams will also appear on the show throughout the day which will be hosted by Hali Oughton and Mike O'Donnell and will be
streamed live and for free.

The preseason poll, along with preseason player of the year, preseason rookie of the year and first and second-team all-conference honors will also be announced that day ahead of both the men’s and women’s sessions.
On Sunday night, the assembled basketball student-athletes will take part in a media training session from The Speaking Specialists, designed to assist them throughout the season.
Additionally, basketball student-athletes will be taking part in an organized service activity Monday, building bags for children in need.
ESPNU will have coverage of media day on College Basketball Live, beginning at 3 p.m. ET with Brendan Fitzgerald and Dino Gaudio in-studio and Tim Welsh on site in Philadelphia.
