Highlights

• UCF improved to 8-2 on the season with a 66-52 win over Gardner-Webb in CFE Arena on Saturday. Taking a 44-22 lead into the locker room, the Knights tallied its most first-half points this season.  Senior Zykira Lewis led UCF with 20 points, her third time reaching the mark this season. She became the fifth Knight in school history to reach 1,500 career points with her first basket of the game - a 3-pointer.

• Houston used a 15-3 run over the final five minutes to come from behind and beat Rutgers 53-51 inside Hofheinz Pavilion on Saturday. Freshman guard Jasmyne Harris led the Cougars with 12 points and 11 rebounds for her first career double-double. Houston was able to come from behind and win the game despite losing the turnover battle and being outrebounded in the contest.

• Temple clinched at least a share of its first Philadelphia Big 5 title since 2011 with an 83-48 victory at Villanova on Saturday. The Owls recorded their largest-ever victory over the Wildcats and moved to 5-3 overall with the win. Alliyah Butts led all scorers with 27 points while Feyonda Fitzgerald added 20. Temple held a considerable advantage on the glass, out-rebounding the Wildcats 50-27, while turning the ball over a season-low eight times.
