DALLAS (AP) -- Semi Ojeleye scored 23 points and Shake Milton added 17 points to lead SMU over TCU 74-59 on Wednesday night.
The Horned Frogs (8-1), who lost for the first time this season, led 3-1 a minute into the game before SMU (7-3) went on an eight-point run in the next two minutes and led the rest of the way. The Mustangs are 6-0 at home.
SMU shot 44 percent from the field, including 13-of-24 shooting in the second half, and outscored TCU 28-20 in the paint. TCU made six of 22 3-pointers.
Jaylen Fisher scored 10 points, and Kenrich Williams had eight points and 13 rebounds for the Horned Frogs. Vladimir Brodziansky and Alex Robinson added 12 points apiece off the bench.
It was the 191st meeting between the schools, who are separated by 40 miles. SMU leads the series with 106 wins against its former Southwest Conference and Western Athletic Conference rival.
Tulane 84, Southern 75
NEW ORLEANS (AP) -- Cameron Reynolds had a career-high 24 points and Tulane snapped a six-game losing streak with an 84-75 win over Southern on Wednesday night.
The Green Wave (2-7) pulled away with an 8-0 run to lead 50-41 on Melvin Frazier's layup with 15:13 to go. Tulane maintained its lead between 6 and 10 points the rest of the way.
Frazier added 15 points, Ray Ona Embo scored 13 and Blake Paul 12. Malik Morgan grabbed 11 boards to go with nine points.
Tulane scored the first 10 points of the game, but Southern (3-4) rallied to take the lead at 20-18 shortly after the midpoint of the first half. Neither team led by more than three for the rest of the half.
Jared Sam and Chris Thomas had 19 points each to lead Southern. Tre'lun Banks had 17 points, six rebounds and six assists.
Tulsa 70, Illinois State 68
TULSA, Okla. (AP) -- Junior Etou and Sterling Taplin each scored 15 points, and Taplin's layup with 11 seconds to play lifted Tulsa past Illinois State 70-68 on Wednesday night.
Down 65-57, Tulsa (4-3) went on a 13-3 run in the last 5:15 to close out the game. MiKyle McIntosh's layup with 15:35 left put Illinois State (4-3) out in front 50-36, finishing a 14-4 run to start the second half after leading 36-32 at the break.
The Golden Hurricane started the game on a 12-4 run before Illinois State got back in it and took a 22-19 lead on a pair of McIntosh free throws.
Tulsa's Will Magnay had 13 boards and 10 points and Jaleel Wheeler had nine rebounds.
Paris Lee led the Redbirds with 18 points and six assists. McIntosh added 15 points and seven rebounds.
Tulsa missed 10 free throws and shot just 6 for 23 (26.1 percent) from 3-point range.
George Washington 66, #rv/-- Temple 63
PHILADELPHIA -- Tyler Cavanaugh's game-winning 3 with eight seconds left capped a 20-point night for him as George Washington thwarted Temple's comeback attempt with a 66-63 win on Wednesday night.
Daniel Dingle's 3 attempt for Temple was no good as time expired. Down 61-52 with 2:45 to go, Josh Brown and Dingle made three-straight 3-pointers to tie the game at 61 with 1:31 to play.
Cavanaugh made a pair of free throws for George Washington (5-4) for a 63-61 lead before Shizz Alston Jr.'s jumper with 38 seconds tied it. Earlier, Matt Hart hit a 3 with 10:47 to play that put the Colonials on top 52-37. George Washington led 31-25 at halftime.
Jordan Roland had 14 points, Arnaldo Toro had 12 points and nine rebounds, and Collin Smith had 11 points and seven rebounds for the Colonials.
Dingle led Temple (6-3) with 14 points and seven assists, and Obi Enechionyia had 12 points and seven boards.
