Highlights

• A 23 point, 12 rebound double-double from Cheyenne Creighton helped lift Memphis to a 66-65 victory over Houston Wednesday evening at Elma Roane Fieldhouse. The Tigers trailed by as many as 14 in the second quarter before a fourth-quarter comeback led Memphis to victory. The win put head coach Melissa McFerrin just one win shy of 200 in her career and 150 at Memphis. Rookies Jasmyne and Angela Harris paced the Cougars with 19 and 18 points, respectively.

Kitija Laksa's game-high 28 points helped No. 23 USF escape Moody Coliseum with a 52-51 win over SMU on Wednesday night. The sophomore scored nine of her 28 points in the fourth quarter and posted her ninth 20-plus point game of the season in the win. Alicia Froling pulled down her 14th double-double of the season - 13 points and 10 boards - for the Mustangs in the loss. The junior is one shy of matching the single-season record of 15 double-doubles set by Shasta Smothers-Johnson during the 1984-85 season.

Temple won the 2017 Philadelphia Big 5 Championship with a 63-53 win over Penn Wednesday night at the Palestra. It is the 10th Big 5 title in program history and the first for Temple since the 2010-11 season. Junior Donnaizha Fountain led Temple with 20 points and 12 rebounds, recording her fourth double-double of the season, while also adding four steals. As a team the Owls outrebounded the tQuakers 42-31 and held Penn to 37-percent shooting.

Tulane received a big offensive boost from Kolby Morgan (20 pts.) and Leslie Vorpahl (21 pts.) on Wednesday as the duo combined for 41 points to help power the Green Wave to a 70-65 win over visiting Tulsa. The performances marked Morgan's fifth straight game with 20+ points and Vorpahl's third overall this season. The upperclassmen had the bulk of their scoring in the second half, scoring 14 and 12 points, respectively. Liesl Spoerl posted her first career double-double for the Hurricane in the loss with 14 points and a career-best 19 rebounds. Spoerl's 19 rebounds were the most since Denise Lewis had 20 boards against Texas A&M-International during the 2010-11 season.
