7/8 extended its unbeaten streak to 13 matches after a 4-1 win vs. Temple Sunday afternoon. Bridget Callahan and Carrie Lawrence each netted a goal in the first half, while Kayla Adamek scored back-to-back in the second to lift the Knights 4-1.
USF earns its sixth straight win Sunday against UConn (2-1) at Corbett Stadium. Evelyne Viens scored the first goal of the match at the 13 minute mark. Jessica Hamrick headed an insurance goal in the 38th minute of the second half. At the 60 minute mark Kim Urbanek cut the Huskies deficit to one.
SMU upset Cincinnati
21/16 1-0 Sunday afternoon at Wescott Field. Katia Novi finished a cross from Allie Thornton with less than 10 minutes to play in the second half. The Mustangs currently hold the sixth spot in league standings with a one-point advantage over Houston.
Three second half goals lifted Houston 4-1 over ECU Sunday. Mia Brascia, Jazmin Grant, Selena Peters and Hannah Duazat each found the back of the net for the Coogs. With nine points, Houston is a win away from securing a spot in the six-team Championship bracket.
