- SMU completed the 2-0 season sweep over Cincinnati with a four-set win, as three Mustangs reached double-digit kills to fuel their offense. Both sides had 11 blocks in the match.
Lauren Mills led the team with her 14th double-double this year of 18 kills and 15 digs, while Katie Hegarty chipped in with 14 kills, seven blocks and hit .414. Brittany Adams (13 kills, 16 digs) and Kendall Patterson (45 assists, 12 digs) also had double-doubles for the Mustangs, who improve to 9-2 in American play and stand alone in second place in conference standings.
Cincinnati drops to 7-4 and is locked in fourth place with ECU who also fell tonight. The Bearcats were led by Carly Nolan who earned her 14th double-double with 16 kills and 14 digs. Maya Muldrow recorded eight stuffs to lead Cincinnati at the net.
- Tulsa recorded its second win in a row at home with a sweep over ECU. Emily Thorson led the Golden Hurricane with a match-high 15 kills, as Rachel Moore added 10 kills and a .421 hitting percentage to the win. Tulsa stands along in fifth place in league standings with a 5-6 record, as the Pirates are tied in fourth place with Cincinnati. Ashton Mares had 13 kills for ECU tonight.
