Cincinnati (3-1) rallied from an eight point second quarter deficit to best Miami (Ohio) (1-2) 73-62 for the third-straight win. The Bearcats remain undefeated at home this season with the victory. Five players scored in double-figures, led by Ana Owens’ 14 points and six assists. Iimar’I Thomas added 13 points and seven rebounds, while Michaela Porter tallied 11 points and five rebounds on the night. Nikira Goings scored 11 points and Shanice Johnson finished with 10 points, a game-high seven steals, six rebounds and four assists.
Tulsa 76, UMKC 52
All five Tulsa (2-2) starters scored in double figures in the Golden Hurricane’s 76-52 win over UMKC (0-3). Shug Dickson led the team in points with 15, while Crystal Polk earned her first career double-double with 12 points and a career-high 13 rebounds. Alexis Gaulden added 13 points, Kendrian Elliott had 12 and Tatyana Perez finished with 10 points and a career-best six assists.
Houston 78, New Orleans 66
Houston (2-1) closed the Preseason WNIT with a 78-66 win over New Orleans (1-2). Octavia Barnes tallied a double-double with a career-high 15 points and 11 rebounds. Dorian Branch led the Cougars with 17 points, while Angela Harris added 13 points and Julia Blackshell-Fair posted a career-high 10 points. Serithia Hawkins collected a career-high 15 rebounds to pace Houston on the glass.
