Four ECU (6-4) players scored in double figures in a 73-61 home win over North Carolina Central (2-7) on Thursday afternoon. The Pirates extended its win streak to five games. The Pirates were led center Thais Oliveira. She had a team-high 18 points, grabbed eight rebounds and tallied two blocks. Ariyana Williams scored in double figures for the seventh consecutive game with 11 points, while Destiny Campbell recorded a career-high 11 points.
Cincinnati 87, Howard 53
Led by Nikira Goings who had a career-best 25 points, Cincinnati (7-4) defeated Howard (3-6) 87-53 Thursday night at home. Iimar'I Thomas tallied a double-double on the night with 19 points and 11 rebounds. Angel Rizor added 11 points and three steals. The Bearcats' defense created 17 turnovers and tallied a season-high 25 assists.
