Temple 83, Marist 77
Four players finished in double-digits for Temple (8-3) in its, 83-77, win over Marist (3-8) Saturday afternoon. Tanaya Atkinson had 25 points, eight rebounds and four assists on the night. Mia Davis tallied a double-double with 18 points and a game-best 15 rebounds. Lena Niang added 18 points, while Emani Mayo recorded 11 points and dished out a team-best five dimes.
Tulsa 64, South Dakota 61
Led by Tatyana Perez with 17 points, Tulsa (6-5) defeated South Dakota (5-6) 64-61 Saturday afternoon in Vermillion, S.D. Erika Wakefield added 12 points, while Ebony Parker and Rebecca Lescay each scored nine points. Kendrian Elliott came off the bench and grabbed 14 rebounds.
Memphis 79, Vanderbilt 62
For the second consecutive year, Memphis (3-8) downed SEC foe Vanderbilt (3-8) with a 79-62 win Saturday in Nashville. Brea Elmore led the Tigers with 21 points on the night. Cheyenne Creighton finished with 13 points and 12 rebounds, her sixth double-double this year. Brianna Porter and Taylor Barnes each tallied double-figures with 14 and 18 points respectively, while Breigha Wilder-Cochran grabbed a career-high 12 rebounds.
Wichita State 87, Alcorn State 46
Six players were in double-figures Saturday night as Wichita State (4-8) closed out the 1017 Shocker Winter Classic with an 87-46 win over Alcorn State (4-4). The Shockers have now won three straight games and hold a 10-0 record in the Shocker Winter Classic. Rangie Bessard had 15 points, Diamond Lockhart added 12 points, while Keke Thompson chipped in 10 points. Cesaria Ambrosio recorded a double-digit finish for the first time with 10 points. Sabrina Lozada-Cabbage and Angiee Tompkins rounded out the double-figure scorers with 12 and 11 points respectively.
