McKenzie Adams scored a game-high 17 points as SMU defeated Memphis, 60-39, Wednesday night at Elma Roane Fieldhouse. The Mustangs picked up their 15th victory of the season and improved to 6-8 in American Athletic Conference play, while the Tigers fell to 13-14 (6-8 American).
SMU matched their highest halftime score in conference play with 33 points at the break and continued to build on their lead in the second half.
Adams' 17 points marked the junior's 19th game of the season scoring in double figures.
Taylor Williams finished with 15 points for Memphis, shooting 5-for-12 from 3-point range. Cheyenne Creighton added 11 points and seven rebounds for the Tigers.
