Houston Snaps Skid; SMU Defeats UCF at Home

Highlights

Freshman guard Angela Harris scored 19 points as Houston ended an eight-game skid with a 73-63 win over East Carolina Saturday at Minges Coliseum. The Cougars dominated the glass, outrebounding the Pirates 44-29, including 16-12 on the offensive end. Bre McDonald and Kristen Gaffney led East Carolina in scoring with 26 and 17 points, respectively.

SMU outscored UCF 22-3 in the second quarter to take the lead, and held on for a second consecutive win at home after defeating the Knights 63-58 at Moody Coliseum. McKenzie Adams paced three Mustangs in double figures with 15 points while Aliyah Gregory led all scorers with a game-high 28 points.
