Tigers Upset Bulls at Elma Roane Fieldhouse



Memphis evened up the season series with USF Sunday night as the Tigers defeated the No. 20-ranked team by a score of 62-57 inside Elma Roane Fieldhouse on ESPNU. The Tigers jumped out to a 7-0 start over the top-25 Bulls and ultimately led for over 38 minutes en route to the victory.
 
Memphis improves to 11-12 overall and 4-6 in American Athletic Conference play while handing USF just their second conference loss and fourth overall loss this season.

Cheyenne Creighton had her fifth 20+-point performance with a game-high 22 for the Tigers. She was also just one rebound shy of a double-double. Maria Jespersen (20 points) turned in her eighth 20-point outing this season, her fifth against a conference opponent. The junior averages 17.3 points per game against conference foes.
