ECU 73, Tulsa 67
ECU (9-8, 1-3) defeated Tulsa (8-9, 2-2) 73-67 at Minges Coliseum Wednesday. Four players scored in double figures for the Pirates. Destiny Campbell had a double-double with with a team-high 19 points and 10 rebounds. Salita Greene added 16 points, while Ariyana Williams and Alex Frazier chipped in 11 and 10 points, respectively.
Erika Wakefield had season-highs of 21 points and seven assists. Crystal Polk tied her season-best 16 points, while Tyae’ Scales tallied a season-high 10 rebounds.
USF 89, Temple 73
Four USF (13-4, 3-1) players finished in double figures in an 89-73 win over Temple (9-6, 1-2) Wednesday night. Kitija Laksa led all scorers with 29 points and grabbed a team-high six rebounds. Maria Jespersen tallied 20 points and five boards in the contest, while Laura Ferreira and Alba Prieto added 12 and 10 points, respectively.
Tanaya Atkinson had a team-high 27 points and pulled down six rebounds. Mia Davis had a near double-double with 14 points and eight boards. Emani Mayo rounded out the double figure scorers with 11 points.
Cincinnati 88, Houston 82
Cincinnati (10-7, 2-2) edged Houston (14-4, 3-1) 88-82 Wednesday. Four Bearcats scored in double figures. Ana Owens scored a team-best 27 points , while Angel Rizor finished with 18 points. Sam Rogers and Imari'i Thomas each added 11 points apeice.
Houston had four players finish in double figure scoring. Jasmyne Harris had a game-high 29 points. Angela Hawkins added 16 points, Serithia Hawkins tallied 14 and Dorian Branch chipped in 10 points for the Coogs.
Wichita State 69, Memphis 61
With a 69-61 victory over Memphis (6-10, 1-2), Wichita State (6-12, 1-3) earned its first-ever win in the American Athletic Conference. Rangie Bessard recorded her sixth double-double of the season with 22 points and 10 rebounds. Keke Thompson and Diamond Lockhart added 10 points apiece.
Brea Wlmore scored a team-high 23 points, while Cheyenne Creighton added 19 points and six boards.
