USF 81, Memphis 62
Behind Maria Jespersen’s career-high 31 points, USF (15-4, 5-1) rolled passed Memphis (7-11, 2-3) en route to an 81-62 victory Wednesday. Jespersen grabbed 10 rebounds to earn her 20th career double-double. Laia Flores finished with 18 points and Kitija Laksa rounded out the Bulls’ double-digit scoring with 14 points in the contest. USF controlled the glass and held a 42-29 advantage in rebounding.
Taylor Barnes led the Tigers with 18 points. Cheyenne Creighton and Brea Elmore tallied 17 and 16 points, respectively.
UCF 59, Tulane 51
UCF (12-7, 4-2) held on to a 59-51 win over Tulane (9-9, 1-4) at home Wednesday night. The Knights had the advantage on the glass outrebounding the Green Wave 46-27 in the contest. A trio of Knights finished with double figures. Masseny Kaba’s 16 points was a game-best, while Korneila Wright and Zakiya Saunders added 14 and 11, respectively.
Kayla Manuirirangi was the top scorer for Tulane, putting up 12 points, while Kolby Morgan was close behind with 11 points on the night.
