Houston 72, Tulane 48
A trio of players led Houston (17-6, 6-3 The American) to a 72-48 win over Tulane (11-11, 3-6 The American) at home Wednesday. Jasmyne Harris led all scorers with 20 points, while Angela Harris and Octavia Barnes added 17 and 12 points, respectively.
Tulane held a slight 41-36 edge on the glass and finished the conteset with two players in double-digits. Kolby Morgan led the squad with a team-best 16, while Kayla Manu chipped in 10 points for the Green Wave.
SMU 60, Temple 56
Three SMU (8-14, 2-7 The American) players finished with double figures to edge Temple (9-12, 1-7 The American) 60-56 at home Wednesday night. McKenzie Adams scored a team-high 16 points for the Mustangs. Kiara Perry and Klara Bradshaw had 12 points apeice, while Johnasia Cash grabbed a team-best 10 rebounds to help SMU outrebound Temple 46-39 in the contest.
Emani Mayo put up a game-high 20 points and Tanaya Atkinson recorded a double-double with 11 points and 12 rebounds on the night.
USF 71, Tulsa 57
Behind a double-double performance from Maria Jespersen, USF (17-5, 7-2 The American) defeated Tulsa (8-14, 2-7 The American) 71-57 Wednesday on the road. Jespersen had game-bests in points (26) and rebounds (13). Kitija Laksa added 17 points in the contest for the Bulls, while Laia Flores and Alyssa Rader each recorded near double-doubles with eight points and nine rebounds a peice.
Shug Dickson and Crystal Polk led the Golden Hurrican in scoring. Dickson finished with a team-best 21 points and Polk chipped in 11.
