Highlights
The American’s baseball teams had a 6-3 night on Friday  with three games going  to extra innings. USF and Houston had walk-off wins to outlast their opponents, while  ECU, Memphis, Tulane and Wichita State joined them in collecting victories.
 
-  Grayson Padgett belted a 12th inning, walk off home run and Carter Henry tossed 4.2 shutout innings in relief to lift Houston Baseball to an exciting 4-3 win over San Diego in the weekend series opener at Schroeder Park. Padgett ended the day 3-for-4, as two teammates joined him in earning multi-hit game.
 
- Joe Genord hit a shot up the middle in the 10th inning to give USF it’s first walk-off win of the season in a 3-2 win over Central Michigan to start off the weekend series in an exciting fashion. Lefty Shane McClanahan  threw 6.2 shutout innings and fanned nine batters, while Andrew Perez pitched the final three innings to earn the win.
 
- ECU won its third straight game after defeating Charlotte 3-1 on the road in the first of three games this weekend. Trey Benton worked a career-high 8.1 innings, while Jake Washer drove in two runs.
 
- Memphis and Little Rock split a doubleheader Friday at FedExPark with the Tigers winning the series opener 10-6 and losing the second game 5-4. The two teams will wrap up the series Saturday at 1 p.m.
 
- Wichita State hit its fifth grand slam of the season in a 12-3 win over UT Arlington in game one of a three game series. Greyson Jenista went 2-for-4 with four RBI and a grand slam, while Trey Vickers went 3-for-5 with two RBI and a home run in his 2018 debut.
 
- After suffering back-to-back one-run setbacks in its midweek action, Tulane got back on track with a 1-0 win over Purdue. Kaleb Roper struck out eight batters over 8.0 shutout innings to lead the Green Wave in the series opener. Second baseman Jonathon Artigues delivered the game-winning hit in the bottom of the eighth inning with a single that scored senior designated hitter Matt Rowland, who led off the inning with a double.
