Highlights
No. 22 UCF and No. 11 ECU extended their winning streaks with midweek wins, as the conference split its Tuesday night action, 2-2. Inclement weather across the nation cut today’s schedule in half, as there was eight games originally slated for Tuesday. The league continues midweek play tomorrow with three teams hosting nonconference foes.

It was a top-25 match-up, as UCF got its revenge, defeating No. 16 Stetson 4-1 to split the two-game home-and-home series this season. The Knights knocked off their fifth ranked opponent this season on the way to picking up their second straight win. After giving up the first run of the game in the opening inning, starter Cre Finfrock and four arms out of the bullpen combined for eight scoreless frames, scattering four hits. Right-hander Thad Ward struck out the side twice in the seventh and eighth innings. Third baseman Griffin Bernardo led the Knights’ offense, going 2-for-3 with three RBIs and two runs scored. UCF heads to UConn for a series this weekend.

ECU is on a three-game winning streak after defeating UNC Wilmington 6-4 at home. The Pirates will close-out a five-game homestand tomorrow against Wofford at 6:30 p.m. ET. Hits were even at 9-9, as the Pirates surged for four runs on four hits and a wild pitch in the second inning. Third baseman Connor Litton hit his team-leading sixth home run of the year for a solo shot to begin the early rally. He ended the night going 2-for-4 with two RBIs.
