USF 2, Temple 0
Evelyne Viens set another conference record, this time for career goals, as USF defeated Temple, 2-0, in Tampa. The Bulls improved to 10-3-0 on the season and into sole possession of second place in The American at 5-1-0.
Viens opened the scoring in the 25th minute for her 62nd career goal, breaking a tie with Rachel Hill (UConn, 2013-16). She already has the conference record for career points with 145. In the 70th minute, Emma Davies drew a foul in the box and Andrea Hauksdottir stepped up and converted to double the USF lead. Sydney Martinez made two saves in the shutout.
UConn 0, UCF 0
UConn and UCF battled to a scoreless draw in Orlando. The Knights are now 8-2-4 on the season and 3-1-2 in American play, sitting in fourth place. The Huskies moved to 6-8-2 overall (2-5-1) and are in a tie for fifth place.
Both Caroline DeLisle of UCF and Randi Palacios of UConn each made two saves in earning a shutout.
SMU 4, ECU 0
Four difference goalscorers propelled SMU to a 4-0 win over ECU in Dallas. With the win, the Mustangs improved to 9-5-1 overall and 2-4-0 in conference play.
Celiana Torres scored a goal and assisted on another, while Courtney Sebazco added two assists. Jewel Boland, Robyn Maurer and Isabelle Nashmi also scored for SMU.
Houston 3, Cincinnati 0
Houston won its second-straight league match with a 3-0 victory over Cincinnati. The Cougars improved to 5-11-0 on the season and 2-4-0 in conference action.
Desiree Bowen opened the scoring in the 25th minute off a feed from Jazmin Grant. Mia Brascia assisted on Cassidy Formanek's goal in the 41st minute before Grant picked up another assist on Zionah Browne's 61st minute goal.
