Cincinnati (16-5, 8-1) kept hold of its lead in the East Division of The American with a sweep of Memphis (13-8, 2-7) on Friday night. The Bearcats claimed the match 25-14, 25-17, 25-18.
 
Jordan Thompson led all players with 17 kills and a .483 hitting percentage for Cincinnati, adding nine digs. Armania Heckenmueller chipped in 34 assists and 10 digs, while Adria Oliver contributed 10 kills.
 
Hannah Flowers paced Memphis with eight kills, while Meredith Wallace notched seven kills and four digs. Sabrina Bianco led the Tigers with 22 assists.
 
UCF 3, Houston 0 (27-25, 25-19, 25-15)
 
UCF (15-6, 8-1) stayed hot on the heels of division leader Cincinnati on Friday with a sweep of West Division leader Houston (13-11, 7-2) in Orlando 27-25, 25-19, 25-15.
 
McKenna Melville posted a double-double for UCF with 18 kills and 12 digs, and Makenzie Kuchmaner chipped in 17 digs and six assists. Anna-Marie Watson recorded 12 kills for the Knights.
 
Claire Karsten finished with 11 kills and eight digs for Houston, and Abby Irvine notched 31 assists and seven digs. Katie Karbo led the Cougars with 14 digs.
 
SMU 3, East Carolina 1 (25-23, 25-17, 23-25, 25-13)
 
SMU (14-5, 7-2) moved into a tie atop the West Division of The American with its seventh straight win, racing pace East Carolina (15-7, 3-6) 25-23, 25-17, 23-25, 25-13.
 
Lily Heim posted 50 assists and a match-high 22 digs to guide SMU, and Hannah Jacobs racked up 18 kills in the victory. Montana Watts registered 20 digs for the Mustangs.
 
Brandee Markwith paced East Carolina with 21 digs, as Bri Wood contributed 14 kills and 19 digs. Sydney Kleinman chipped in a double-double of 11 kills and 15 digs.
 
Tulsa 3, Temple 0 (29-27, 26-24, 27-25)
 
Tulsa (13-9, 6-3) fended off a game Temple (10-10, 1-8) squad on Friday night in Philadelphia, ultimately needing extra points in all three sets before emerging with a 29-27, 26-24, 27-25 win.
 
Dilara Gedikoglu posted 17 kills and 11 digs in the triumph for Tulsa, as Taylor Horsfall added a team-high 14 digs. Callie Cook turned in nine kills and five block assists for the Golden Hurricane.
 
Peyton Boyd and Miray Bolukbasi tied for the Temple team lead with 12 kills, whole Averi Salvador fashioned a match-high 23 digs. Selina Merfol contributed 37 assists and three digs for the Owls.
 
Tulane 3, USF 0 (25-17, 25-13, 25-17)
 
Tulane (16-6, 6-3) swept USF (7-16, 1-8) in Tampa, Florida, by a 25-17, 25-13, 25-17 final score.
 
Lexie Douglas and Erika Hansel guided Tulane with eight kills, while Amanda Giardina finished with 17 assists and 14 digs. Makala Heidelberg logged seven kills, 13 digs and seven blocks for the Green Wave.
 
Jac St. Cin posted seven kills for USF, and Lindsey Pliapol notched four kills and six digs in defeat.
 
Wichita State 3, UConn 1 (25-17, 25-17, 20-25, 25-20)
 
Wichita State (6-15, 3-6) earned a conference victory with a four-set triumph over UConn (8-13, 2-7), downing the Huskies 25-17, 25-17, 20-25, 25-20.
 
Sina Uluave led Wichita State with 17 kills and 14 digs, hitting at a .333 clip. Arianna Arjomand turned in a team-high 17 digs, and Nicole Anderson contributed eight kills and 13 digs for the Shockers.
 
Caylee Parker’s 15 kills and 13 digs paced UConn in defeat, while Courtney Morris posted 49 assists and 16 digs.
