Cincinnati 3, East Carolina 0 (25-21, 25-15, 25-21)
 
Cincinnati (23-5, 14-1) claimed the East Division of the American Athletic Conference and secured the number one seed in next weekend’s conference tournament with a Friday night sweep at East Carolina (19-10, 6-9). The Bearcats downed the Pirates by a 25-21, 25-15, 25-21 final score.
 
Jordan Thompson swung at a .412 percentage to lead Cincinnati with 18 kills, while Adria Oliver turned in 11 kills, a .471 hitting clip and five digs. Armania Heckenmueller logged a double-double for the Bearcats with 45 assists and 12 digs.
 
Natalie Tyson paced ECU with eight kills in the loss, Bri Wood turned in four kills and seven digs. Toya Osuegbu logged five kills on .364 hitting and added five blocked shots.
 
Tulane 3, SMU 2 (20-25, 21-25, 25-15, 25-17, 15-12)
 
Tulane (20-8, 10-5) erased its second deficit in as many matches against SMU (17-8, 10-5) this season, bouncing back from two sets down to defeat the Mustangs 20-25, 21-25, 25-15, 25-17, 15-12 on Friday night. The win for the Green Wave moved Tulane into a three-way tie for the West Division lead with both Houston and SMU with one match remaining in the regular season.
 
Lexie Douglas powered Tulane with 17 kills and 17 digs in the win, as Lauryn Green turned in 10 kills and seven total blocks. Kayla Dinkins added 14 kills and six block assists for the Green Wave, while Kaylie McHugh fashioned a team-high 23 digs.
 
Hannah Jacobs’ 14 kills led the way for SMU, while Montana Watts posted a conference season-high 39 digs in the defeat. Lily Heim registered 50 assists and eight digs for the Mustangs.
 
Houston 3, Memphis 1 (25-20, 25-19, 16-25, 25-21)
 
Houston (16-14, 10-5) reaffirmed its stake in the West Division by moving into a share of first place for the division crown following a four-set victory at Memphis (16-11, 5-10) on Friday night. The Cougars emerged with a 25-20, 25-19, 16-25, 25-21 win.
 
Rachel Tullos led Houston with 11 kills, a .391 hitting percentage and 12 blocks assists in the win, and Megan Duncan contributed 11 kills and eight digs. Claire Karsten added eight kills and 15 digs, while Katie Karbo logged 17 digs to lead the Cougars.
 
Hannah Flowers turned in a match-high 16 kills for Memphis, while Kaitlyn Gehler’s 19 digs paced all players. Sabrina Bianco finished with 46 assists and 14 digs for the Tigers.
 
UCF 3, Temple 0 (25-21, 25-18, 25-21)
 
UCF (20-7, 13-2) claimed the third seed in next weekend’s American Athletic Conference tournament as the second automatic qualifier from the East Division, sweeping Temple (11-15, 2-13) on Thursday evening in Philadelphia. The Knights took the win 25-21, 25-18, 25-21.
 
McKenna Melville hit .405 with a match-high 18 kills and added six digs to lead UCF, and Anne-Marie Watson turned in seven kills and four blocks. Erin Olson posted 20 assists and eight digs in the win for the Knights.
 
Miray Bolukbasi powered the Temple offense with 22 kills and seven digs in the loss, as Averi Salvador chipped in a match-high 18 digs. Peyton Boyd finished with seven kills and five digs.
 
UConn 3, USF 0 (25-20, 25-20, 25-20)
 
UConn (12-15, 6-9) picked up an East Division victory against USF (7-22, 1-14) with matching 25-20, 25-20, 25-20 set wins in a home sweep on Thursday night.
 
Jasmine Davis and Anna Petrova each tied for the team lead with 13 kills for UConn, with Petrova adding 13 digs and Davis turning in 12 digs. Ally Barrett led all Huskies with 16 digs and three services aces, while Madi Whitmire logged 38 assists and seven digs in the win.
 
Lindsay Pliapol’s 12 kills led the way for USF, and CC Clausen turned in a team-high 24 digs. Lauren LaBeck logged a double-double with 19 assists and 10 digs.
 
Wichita State 3, Tulsa 1 (25-23, 25-14, 24-26, 25-19)
 
Wichita State (8-19, 5-10) earned a spirited Senior Day victory over Tulsa (15-13, 8-7) on Friday night, stopping the Golden Hurricane 25-23, 25-14, 24-26, 25-19 in four sets.
 
Sophia Rohling guided Wichita State with 11 kills in the win, while Sina Uluave chipped in 10 kills and 12 digs. Kara Bown logged a team-high 20 digs for the Shockers.
 
Dilara Gedikoglu’s 15 digs led Tulsa in defeat, as Taylor Horsfall turned in a match-high 24 digs. Roosa Rautio added a double-double of 17 assists and 10 digs.
