Highlights
USF (3-1) became the second American Athletic Conference baseball team in as many weeks to take down a top-five team, as the Bulls outhit No. 4 Florida 12-2 and recorded 13 strikeouts in a 6-1 win in Tampa on Tuesday night. UCF and Tulane each improved to 4-0 this season with wins at home, as the league went 3-0 to start off its 2019 midweek slate. American Athletic Conference teams combined to outscore their Tuesday night opponents 25-4.
UCF, USF and Tulane will each face a top-20 program in a series over the weekend. The American’s teams own a 20-11 record against other conferences this season. Four teams will be in action Wednesday night before the nonconference series continue over the weekend.
UCF 10, Stetson 2
UCF has outscored its opponents 25-6 through four home wins after defeating 2018 Atlantic Sun champion Stetson 10-2. USF will head to No. 5 North Carolina for a weekend series on the ACC Network Extra. Last year, USF defeated then-No. 6 North Carolina 4-3 on Opening Day.

Tulane’s offense had another strong performance, registering its second-straight game with at least 10 hits in a 9-1 rout of Lamar in the first game of the series. The Green Wave outhit the Cardinals 14-2, as the teams finish the two-game series Wednesday night at 7:30 p.m. ET.
