Highlights
Houston posted a strong showing at the Victor Lopez Classic, finishing the week with eight titles and 20 podium finishes. Amere Lattin clocked the third-fastest 110-meter hurdles in the nation with his first-place time of 13.70 seconds. Jermaine Holt’s first-place time of 46.55 seconds in the 400-meter dash ranks ninth in the NCAA this season.

The women throwers shined for Memphis over the weekend, as Ashley Pryke reset her school record in the women's javelin to pace the Tigers at the Mississippi State's Al Schmidt Bulldog Relays. Pryke won the event with a school-record throw of 188-6 (57.47m). Freshman Amber Simpson also reset her school record in the women's hammer throw with a toss of 197-11 (60.33m). On the men’s side Davon DeMoss won the 200 meters (20.85 seconds) and also ran a leg on the first-place 4x100 meter relay. In total, the Tigers won 11 titles and had 18 top-three finishes.

USF captured 15 individual titles over the weekend to highlight competition at the Bulls Invitational. Kiara Miles won three events in the heptathlon and recorded 4,265 points to defeat her closest competition by 369 points. The Bulls had three top-20 performances in the nation, including Imani Carmouche winning the high jump (t-14th, 5-08.74), Errol Ennis winning the triple jump (15th, 15.21m) and Yohance Haynes leading the men in the 800-meter run (20th, 1:51.50).

SMU took four first-place finishes at the Arkansas Spring Invitational. Cassie Ackemann (high jump), Hannah Miller (3,000m) and Madison Pyle (400m hurdles) all took home top spots during the second outdoor event of the season while SMU also finished first in the 4x400. The quartet of Ashton Woods, Chelsea Francis, Pyle and Chika Iwuamadi finished in a time of 4:45.35.

UCF collected seven event titles at the UCF Knights Invite over the weekend. Kaitlyn Soltis took the top spot in the 1500-meter run with a personal best time of 4:45.32. Devin D’Oliveira captured the 400-meter hurdles title, as her time ranks ninth in the nation (59.11 seconds). Caitlin Pinnell added a title for UCF with another PR, finishing the 800-meter run in the top-five of The American’s performance list this season.

Aisha Brown (high jump) and Kayla Nesbitt-McEwen (triple jump) led Temple with second-place finishes in their respective events at the Penn Challenge.

Tulane combined for five event victories, 16 top-five finishes and three new entries into the school's all-time top 10 at the Victor Lopez Classic. Mckenzie Melius made it a Green Wave steeplechase sweep, taking the women's crown in 10:54.39. Her time ranks 13th nationally this season. On the men’s side Emmanuel Rotich ran the 12th-fastest steeple chase in the nation (9:08.56). Mary Catherine Stovall picked up the Green Wave's fourth win of the night, taking the finish line in 38:31.27. Bridgid Selfors was second in 38:45.62. Both distance runners’ time are good for ranking top 10 on the NCAA’s performance list. The conference’s record-holder in the women’s pole vault, Rebekah Markel, cleared 4.20 meters for gold, shooting to No. 4 in the nation with her mark.

The UConn men concluded their spring trip at the UNF Invitational. The Huskies captured three first-place finishes and garnered six trips to the podium. Safir Scott’s first-place clearance of 2.12 meters in the high jump is tied for sixth in the nation. Kyle Brackman won the 5,000-meter run, as his time of 14:40.51 is ranked 17th in the nation.

The UConn women recorded 10 top-five finishes at the UCF Knights Invite. The Huskies took four of the top-five spots in the 3,000-meter run with Danielle Jordan placing second to lead the pack. Kristina Cherrington took home second in the 400-meter dash (55.67 seconds). UConn also took second place in the 4x400-meter relay.

Tulsa claimed two event wins in the team's outdoor season opener at the Arkansas Spring Invitational on Friday and Saturday. On the women's side, freshman Jaidah McCallon earned a first-place finish in the open section of the 800 meters, going 2:14.68. Thrower Baylor Reese also tallied gold in the meet, picking up a 42.35-meter throw in the discus. Tulsa notched 12 top-five placings in the two-day meet.

Wichita State concluded its action at the Herm Wilson Invitational presented by Beynon Sports Surfaces with 12 event winners. The Shockers won nine individual events and three relay races. Three of the nation’s top-10 women pentathlon performances came from the Shockers over the weekend, as Claudia Rojo finished with the fifth-most points in the nation this year (4,973). Austin Corley (400m hurdles, 51.51), Aaron True (javelin, 70.56m/231-6) and Rayvon Allen (long jump, 7.63m/25-0.5) each won their events, each posting the eighth-best mark in the NCAA this season.
