No. 14 ECU 3,  No. 10 Ole Miss 2
No. 14 ECU hung on for a 3-2 win at No. 10 Ole Miss Wednesday evening. Starter Jake Kuchmaner was one out away from a no-hitter, tossing 8.0 shutout innings without allowing a hit, but the Rebels rallied with two down in the ninth to make it a one-run game. Sam Lanier entered the game with the bases loaded and found the final out of the contest to get ECU out of a jam and earn the save. The Pirates secured their first win over a ranked opponent, keeping the streak alive for The American. At least one conference team has defeated a top-25 opponent in each week this season.

Kuchmaner ended the night with a career-high nine strikeouts. Spencer Brickhouse hit a three-run home run in the fourth inning to give ECU the lead for good. He added a double in the ninth inning. Bryant Packard also ended the night 2-for-3 with a double. ECU will return to action this weekend when it plays host to Marist in a three-game series at Clark-LeClair Stadium.

UCF 9, Ball State 8 (13)
UCF answered twice in extra innings, as the Knights completed a 9-8 come-from-behind walk-off win over Ball State with a three-run rally in the 13th inning. UCF trailed early on before scoring four runs on four hits in the seventh inning to tie the game at 4-4. The scored remained the same until the 12th inning when the Cardinals tallied two runs to take the lead. The Knights quickly responded in the bottom half of the frame to keep the game going only to see Ball State move ahead again by two runs in the 13th. Down 8-6, UCF scored the equalizer before the Cardinals intentionally loaded the bases with one out. Pedro Castellano then hit the walk-off RBI single to right field to hand the Knights the win. Three Knights had a multi-hit game, as Ray Alejo led the way with a 3-for-5 performance. Seven UCF hitters registered an RBI. The Knights will stay at John Euliano Park this weekend, welcoming Penn State for a three-game series.

Tulane 13, Texas Southern 1
Tulane reached double-digit hits for the ninth time this year and registered double-digit runs for the fifth time in a 13-1 win over Texas Southern Wednesday night. The Green Wave scored in five innings, exploding for eight runs in a big fourth frame. Eight different Tulane hitters had at least one base knock, as the team combined for 13 hits, including three triples and two doubles.  Jonathon Artigues and Hudson Haskin combined for six of Tulane's 13 hits and five of their 13 runs driven in. Artigues went 3-for-3 with a triple and four RBIs, while Haskin had a pair of doubles, an RBI and four runs scored. CJ Whelan pitched 3.1 shutout innings in relief, giving up no hits, while fanning five to earn the win. Tulane continues a 12-game homestand this weekend, hosting the UCSB Gauchos for a three-game series.

Lipscomb 3, Memphis 2
A walk-off triple was the difference Wednesday afternoon, as Lipscomb edged Memphis, 3-2. Memphis led twice in the game, but Lipscomb found answers to overcome the deficits. Hunter Goodman and Nick Vaage each posted 2-for-4 showings to account for four of the Cougars’ five hits. Memphis begins its three game series at Western Kentucky Thursday at 3 p.m. ET.

Oklahoma State 10, Wichita State 7
Wichita State rallied for four runs in fourth inning to briefly tie the game, but Oklahoma State tacked on five more runs during the next three innings to take a 10-7 win Wednesday. Senior Jordan Boyer led Wichita State at the plate, going 3-for-4 with his first homer of the season and three RBIs, while freshman Brady Slavens posted a 2-for-4 showing with a double and two RBIs. Paxton Wallace joined them in earning a multi-hit performance. The Shockers open a three-game series at No. 10 Texas Tech Friday.
