No. 22 UConn secured a 9-4 win against UMass Lowell on Wednesday afternoon at J.O. Christian Field. The Huskies recorded 10 hits and benefited from drawing eight walks and reaching via five errors by the River Hawks. Anthony Nucerino was a spark at the bottom of the UConn order recording his first multi-hit game of the season with a pair of hits and two runs scored. The Huskies remain home for a weekend conference series against Cincinnati beginning on Friday at 7:05 p.m. ET at Dunkin' Donuts Park in Hartford.
 
Cincinnati 9, Ohio State 5
Cincinnati scored six runs in the first two innings on the way to a 9-5 win at Ohio State Wednesday night. Starter David Orndorff picked up the win for the Bearcats and went 6.0 innings with three runs, three hits, one walk and four strikeouts. He retired the final 12 batters he faced. Joey Bellini and Eric Santiago both finished with three hits and a double. A.J. Bumpass kept his hit streak alive, registering his 17th-straight game with at least one base knock. Cincinnati takes a trip to UConn to resume American play this weekend.
 
No. 11 ECU 6, Duke 1
Brady Lloyd paced three Pirates with multiple hits, while the pitching staff struck out 12 as No. 11 ECU extended its winning streak to 10-straight games with a 6-1 victory over Duke Wednesday night. The Pirates used a pair of three-run spurts in the fifth and sixth inning to clinch the win. ECU’s pitching staff kept Duke off the board through the first eight innings. ECU registered nine hits on the night, getting multiple base knocks from Lane Hoover, Brady Lloyd and Bryant Packard. Five different Pirates drove in a run, while Lloyd scored twice. ECU is 6-0 in American play and puts its winning streak on the line when it heads to Houston for a three-game series. Friday’s series opener is slated for a 7:35 p.m. ET first pitch on the American Digital Network.
 
Houston 5, Florida International 4
Tyler Bielamowicz brought home Kobe Hyland with his third hit of the night, as Houston walked off against Florida International, 5-4, securing its third-straight come-from-behind win. It marked the Cougars’ fourth walk-off win of the season. Brett Esau also had three hits, including two doubles. Trailing 4-2, Houston tied the game with two runs in the fourth inning after Kyle Lovelace drove in a run with a sacrifice bunt and Esau crossed home plate on a passed ball. The Cougars used six arms out of their bullpen and allowed no runs through the final five innings. Fred Villarreal retired the side in the ninth and picked up his third win of the season. Houston brings its three-game swing into the weekend when it hosts No. 11 ECU in a series.
 
Memphis 7, No. 29 Arkansas State 4
Memphis rallied for five runs with two outs in the top of the ninth en route to a 7-4 comeback win at No. 29 Arkansas State. Cale Hennemann drove in the game-winning run with an RBI single, as the Tigers took advantage of a fielding error to plate a pair and move ahead for good. Colton Neel earned his sixth save of the season. Payton Marshall and Kyle Ouellette each had a pair of hits to lead seven Memphis batters who had at least one base knock. Memphis hosts Southern in a three-game nonconference series at FedExPark this weekend.
