PROVIDENCE, R.I. – American Athletic Conference Commissioner Mike Aresco has announced two staff promotions.
Jordan Reid has been named Assistant Director of Sport Administration and Championships and Francesca Spinella has been promoted to Coordinator for Compliance and Sport Administration.
“I am pleased to recognize Jordan and Francesca for their exemplary service to our Conference and its institutions,” said Aresco. “They have demonstrated talent, enthusiasm and dedication to their roles, and we are excited that Jordan will continue working at The American after serving so well as our Administrative Fellow. I look forward to the contributions that both of these outstanding executives will make in our sport administration and governance efforts.”
Reid joined The American in 2017 as the Administrative Fellow. Her responsibilities include sport administration for the conference’s Olympic sports, including tournament operations, scheduling, site evaluation, hospitality and game production. She also oversees the conference’s regular season and championship awards program.
Spinella is entering her third year with The American, and will assume additional sport administration duties along with her current role in compliance and governance. She oversees the conference’s National Letter of Intent and academic awards programs, while playing a key role in coordinating The American’s Academic Consortium, Academic Symposium and Student-Athlete Advisory Committee. She has also played an operational role in both basketball championships, coordinating ticketing and game presentation.
