Missouri State, which had an open week last weekend, looks for its first win of the 2019 season after the Bears fell 37-27 to Northern Arizona in their season-opener … Missouri State has lost its last six games and is looking for its first victory since a 29-26 decision at Indiana State Oct. 13, 2018 … The Bears reeled off 332 offensive yards in the opener, but saw Northern Arizona finish with 439 yards … QB Peyton Huslig was 20-of-35 for 289 yards and two touchdowns, while WR Tyler Currie had six catches for 89 yards and a TD … Missouri State was projected to finish 10th in the Missouri Valley Football Conference preseason poll after a 4-7 showing in 2018 … The defense has seven starters back, including two-time all-conference LB Angelo Garbutt … Garbutt had a team-high 10 tackles with 3.5 tackles for loss in the season-opener.
